| Why Should We Care?
When we fail to care we are not fulfilling our earthly mission. Deuteronomy 15: v 7-11 tells us that if there are poor among us or within our gates in the land which we have been given, we should never harden our hearts nor shut off our poor brothers and sisters. Instead we must open our hands wide to them and without question lend sufficient help for their needs. Our hearts should never be grieved when we give because God has promised to bless our work and whatever we put our hands on.
We are told that poor people will always be with us. With this in mind, your prayers and financial support of the Harambee Children's Project will be appreciated. We will do our best to ensure that the orphans within our reach, and children in our communities will have their basic daily needs met, which includes food, clothing, and shelter. We will also provide them with a stable environment, conducive for learning and normal growth.
Current Goals
To place needy young girls and boys into boarding schools as they pass general exams, where there is a positive learning environment, and where assistance will be available to help them excel in their studies. Seventeen children have already been placed in boarding schools. To coordinate our efforts with the families who will provide support and care for the children during vacation as we await the construction of our permanent facility.
Please Help!?
To achieve our goals we will work in partnership with willing individuals and organizations that share our vision of bringing hope and healing to the helpless children of Africa and the world. Your support of this ministry will lift up the many despondent individuals in a society where poor health has taken the lives of both young and old. We want to provide more than fish. We want to teach children and adults how to fish and how to extend life that is threatened by diseases and environmental calamities such as famine and drought. Be part of our team and make a difference in someone's life.
